Opera | Milan _ Italy
The Abbey of Mirasole is a very special and exclusive place located on the outskirts of Milan. It was born between the XII century and the first years of the XIII century by the Humiliati brothers, with a community of lay people only, and it has inside some valuable and particularly important architectural elements that influence in an important way any architectural intervention such as, for example, the perimeter walls of different formations, the ancient Church of 1300 A.D. with its bell tower, the different porticos inside, the tower at the main entrance of the Abbey and the big central agricultural Court.
The lighting project is oriented to highlight both the perimeter walls of the complex, the large internal agricultural courtyard and the various internal spaces used as collective and aggregation spaces and the various exhibition and working-meeting areas. The lighting project through the design solutions adopted (up-lights, grazing lights, counter-lights, sculptural lights and cutting lights) aims to enhance all the various parts and bodies of the building (boundary walls, entrance tower, the Church and its Bell Tower), as well as all the greenery of the entire complex (both internal and external) designed by De Ponte Studio Architects
